Materials for the faux fur koala
3.5 mm hook
24 mm safety eyes x2
tapestry needle
stitch marker
scissors
wire brush
Stuffing
faux fur grey (300g/ 195 yds) (size 5)
faux fur white (size 5)
bernat softee cotton black
finished size: 15 inches/ 38 cm
ENG US TERM
SSC: Single Crochet
CH: chain
MC: magic circle
R: Round
SLST: Slip Stitch
F/O: Fasten Off
INC: Increase
DEC: Decrease
Note: to have a more fluffy koala leave your work on the wrong side and sew in the tail on the right side. Don't forget to brush your fur with the wire brush once you are done.
Materials for the velvet koala
big twist velour in grey
Big twist velour in white
cotton yarn in black.
(can replace with premier yarn or bernat baby blanket)
will need a 3.5mm hook,
20mm safety eyes.
To make the velvet version use the koala pattern with the materials listed above.
the velvet koala will come out smaller than the faux fur version.
